On Saturday 11th November the National Trust for Scotland will be holding a small event for children in Stanley Hill park - Welly Wanders and Cosy Stories. With support from the Scottish Storytelling Forum we have invited Aberfeldy Storyteller Claire Hewitt to join us once more - this year in our nature garden within Stanley Hill. This small free event will start at 11:15am where one of our nts rangers will take the group on a trail around the park, looking at the trees, who might call them home and what do they eat, exploring the wonderful nature on our doorstep. After this the children will join Claire who will be seated under the old Yew tree in the nature garden for some traditional tales. We will also have our very popular craft table. We will only be holding two of these hour long sessions – the second one starting at 12:45pm – and with 10 places available on each session so booking your children’s place is highly recommended. Booking is available on Eventbrite.
Parents and responsible adults accompanying children don’t need to book to join. Please note this is an outdoor event so warm clothing and rainproof jacket is recommended. We will have a donations bucket available on the day, with any money raised being used to buy more nature themed equipment for this lovely well used area of the park. We hope to see you there !
