Tiny Tunes is a very special music sensory class for babies and toddlers, led by the experienced opera singer Colleen Nicoll. Here's a summary of the key details about the class:
Instructor: Colleen Nicoll, a professional opera singer who trained at Trinity Laban conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. She has completed outreach and education training with prestigious organisations like the Royal Opera House and English National Opera.
Class Structure: Tiny Tunes is an interactive class designed for parents and their little ones to enjoy together. Singing together is emphasised as it strengthens the bond between adults and children and aids in communication and speech development. The class structure remains similar each week, providing a sense of familiarity, but with ever-changing music to keep things engaging.
Music Variety: Colleen introduces children and their caregivers to a wide range of musical genres, including traditional nursery rhymes, action songs, musical theatre, classical music, opera, and Scots songs.
Sensory Elements: Tiny Tunes incorporates sensory elements every week to enhance the experience, such as musical instruments, sensory lighting, parachutes, puppets, and bubbles.
Themed Weeks: The class features various themed weeks throughout the term, including a famous "Christmas Special" that's always a highlight.
Age Range: The classes are suitable for children from birth to 4 years old.
Pricing: The classes are £6.50 per week, booked in term blocks. Taster sessions are available, and there is no extra charge for siblings.
