Back in September our congregation had a great Harvest Supper in the Duchess Anne. As well as being a social event it was a chance to hear from husband and wife team the Revs. Joseph and Nutan Suray, who are both Methodist ministers and who started a school for Dalit (‘untouchables’) children in Joseph’s home village. Our harvest appeal this year is in support of the charity ‘Cross Roads for Human Development.’ (Charity number in England 1116524) which runs the school. The total costs are about £35,000 a year which, in this country, seems a small amount of money for such a project but it is a lot for them to raise.
