Following on from the phenomenal success of last year's event, Team Little Sherpa would love to welcome you back to Birnam Arts on b for an update on the progress of the charity & discover what a difference your generous contributions have made to the Sherpa community.
The evening last year highlighted the immense sense of community we enjoy which was enhanced by helping a similar community half a world away.
The evening will include contributions from award winning writer and television presenter, Cameron McNeish, BAFTA award winning adventure film maker, Richard Else, acclaimed best-selling author, Fiona Valpy, and James Lamb of the Little Sherpa Foundation.
Adventure filmmaker Richard Else talks about the visits he’s made over 8 years to the Sherpa village of Phortse. Travelling with Birnam’s James Lamb, Richard & his wife Meg have made a documentary highlighting the work of The Little Sherpa Foundation.
This documentary will have its premier at this event.
Cameron McNeish, an award-winning writer and television presenter, is patron of The Little Sherpa Foundation & has visited Nepal many times. He will give his keen insight into the country & it’s wonderful people.
Fiona Valpy is an acclaimed bestselling author, with over two million readers worldwide. Fiona’s next book is set in Nepal & she joined James Lamb, Richard & Meg Else for a 4-week research trip earlier this year. Fiona will talk about this trip & will be showing a video & discussing her upcoming book.
The event starts at 19.30 but doors open at 18.30 as there will be lots of items from Nepal & more to buy.
There will also be a raffle with amazing prizes as well as an auction.
