Some of you will have read my article a while back talking about a possible skate park.
I mentioned about getting all the bmx'ers, scooters and skateboarders off the streets and pavements by getting funding from Griffin Wind Farm and so forth. I have decided to call a meeting in the Birnam Institute to discuss the possibility, design and layout and possible location and funding of a skate park but most of all seeing how many people want a skate park.
I did a quick check at school and everyone I asked wanted a skate park. Here are a few comments from pupils. Patrick said "I only do a bit of scootering outside my house but it sounds like a really good idea and would get me going." Here's another from Kyle, "It would be a really good place for me to practice lots of tricks for my scooter."
So the point of this article is for any one of any age. So tell anyone who is interested to meet us all at the Birnam institute on Wednesday 24th April at 5pm. I will try to keep you all updated.
