The new basketball hoop at the Rec Club is getting plenty of use.
The Rec Club are delighted to announce that they have installed a new basketball hoop at the Rec Club for general community use. Half of the costs of the hoop were met by the Rec Club and the other half from a £500 grant from the SSE Griffin Micro Grant.
Already the hoop is getting a lot of use including from Finley Hodgson, Birnam (age 14) who has sent The Bridge the following comment:
“We’re at the basketball hoop almost every day. It’s really helped me and my friends get better. We’re very grateful to the people who commissioned this and we hope that it’ll bring a lot more kids outside to play.”
