The 3 Churches Charity Shop
The 3 Churches Charity Shop has a project underway over the next year to enhance its shop fittings, display and storage facilities. In order to help fund this much needed work we applied to the Co-op Local Community Fund.
We are very pleased to report that we have been successful and have been chosen as one of the beneficiaries for the next round of the Fund.
Here’s how it works: Every time members shop at the Coop, 1% of what they spend on selected own-brand products and services goes to the Co-op Local Community Fund.
We have been overwhelmed with your very Generous Donations.
Some of your donations have been so valuable that we knew they would not reach their maximum in the shop so we sought buyers elsewhere.
Here are some examples:
A beautiful, as-new, guitar sold for £200.
A white-gold brooch sold for £200.
A tall man’s Armani alpaca overcoat sold for £250.
And we are currently readying a small consignment for an Edinburgh auction.
The gold ring found in the jacket: Unfortunately no-one has yet claimed the ring found in the jacket. This was advertised in 2 recent issues of The Bridge. The ring is now being held at Police Headquarters Lost and Found to comply with local laws. If you are missing a gold ring please contact Tayside Police Lost and Found, and hopefully your description will match the ring they hold. The ring will be considered the property of the 3 Churches Charity Shop in February if not claimed.
