Dunkeld & Birnam Tourism Update
We’re getting a new website, thank you Griffin Calliachar Community Fund! We spent the winter getting the money and selecting a company to design the site and look at our brand. Vital Hike, a small, enthusiastic company from Newport on Tay won the job and will come to our AGM on June 14th to outline the process and some of their ideas.
If you’ve got suggestions, this is the time to tell us – we’d love to hear from you.
The new website will focus more on the villages of Dunkeld and Birnam as communities and businesses, letting visitors know what it’s like to live here and how the rest of us explore the area. It will also help to promote some of the excellent community run events, like the Highland Games and Santa Day.
We want to do a few things differently, like maybe change our name so that it includes all businesses – because tourism brings business to everyone, even if you don’t work directly in tourism.
We have a small committee and a number of groups working on projects like the new website and membership. If you think that you could help with any of this, and we’d welcome some non-business people too, get in touch for a chat.
