A Bridge Too Far As Mad March Approaches!
Perthshire based charity, Bring Back The Smile To Nepal, will be out on a limb and going the extra mile next month, in a mad March of fundraising.
Anna Gurung (who founded the charity following the devastating earthquake that struck Nepal in April 2015) will be returning to Nepal to mark the third anniversary of the disaster, as the charity steps up its house rebuilding programme. Firstly though, Anna and her friend Paula, will be completing a Mad March of fundraising – with one strenuous and one scary activity.
The month of March will see the two girls running the Inverness Half Marathon followed by plunging 50 metres in a Tandem Buggy Bridge Swing, from The Garry Bridge, near Pitlochry.
“We must be as mad as the proverbial March Hare”, said Anna as she prepares for the events, “but our projects in Nepal are really important to us and we’ll do whatever we can to raise funds.”
You can support Anna and Paula’s efforts by donating or sponsoring them, via the charity’s website www.bringbackthesmiletonepal.org If you would like to follow their progress, other your support – or perhaps even join them, please follow the charity’s facebook or twitter pages.
