Understanding the Housing Market
The days of running up and down the high street looking in shop windows for a house to buy have long gone. Yet sellers and many Estate Agents still believe that is how it is done.
Property is advertised on the internet property portals, such as Zoopla, Rightmove,S1 Homes etc. A buyer selects an area/ house type, they are interested in and the portal produces everything it has in that area/type. However, your property has to be on the portal the searcher is using or you won't be found! And most Agents are only on two.
If the searcher sees something they like, they will "click" on it for further details. That is when they learn who the Agent is. It is therefore important that you are on all property portals, Worldwide.
If a property is not selling it is almost certainly because it is not being found by searchers.
It is therefore important to choose a agent such as Reid Estates, a family run business with Worldwide coverage, who understands the buying process and have the time to ensure their sellers property are advertised professionally on as many portals as possible.
Recent sales of local property have sold to buyers from Russia and Trinidad.
Trying to sell locally means you can wait for a very long time and if searchers can't find you, you will never sell!
