Online Advertising with The Bridge

The Bridge is pleased to be able to offer our advertisers the option of taking a banner advert which will appear on all pages of the site in the selected position, in alternation with a maximum of up to 2 other advertisers in that position.

If your advert is of interest to the visitor, they will "click through", usually to your own website, ideally to a specific page on your website with details of the product or offer you are advertising. Alternatively, if you do not have a website, we can organise for your advert to click through to a dedicated page on www.dunkeldandbirnamnews.co.uk, for an extra charge.

positionsInitially, there will be 2 banner advert positions available, and these are marked on the screen print opposite.

PREMIUM POSITION (top right)

This position is charged at £20 per month for a minimum of 3 months.

SIDEBAR POSITION

Charged at £15 per month for a minimum of 3 months.

ARTWORK

In both cases you should supply us with artwork in the form of a JPEG image, size 280px wide by 165px deep.  This can be uploaded when you place your order.

If you are unsure about how to create this artwork or would like us to create it for you, please email Peter Guthrie or call him on 07403 227985.

HINTS FOR GOOD RETURNS FROM ONLINE ADVERTISING

  • Include a "call to action", for instance: "Click here for April special offers"
  • Try to create a special landing page on your website where clickthroughs go to and which expand on the offer or product you are advertising on the Bridge Online.
  • Make the offer as specific as possible - ie new products, limited availability, last minute deals etc
  • Find a way to measure how effective your advertising has been.  What return do you want to achieve for each £20 or £15 you spend?  If your business provides services or goods that are relatively significant in terms of cost (so, anything from a house redecoration to legal services!), one new customer would probably be a handsome return.
