At the service on May 8th. three of our elders were presented with Long Service Certificates signed by the Moderator of the General Assembly, Lord Wallace of Tankerness (Jim Wallace.)
Pat Buxton, Forrest Moffat and Ann Young have all served as elders for 30 years and tribute was paid to the work they have done and continue to do in the congregation here.
On the same Sunday the service of Pat Buxton and David Arbuthnott in the choir was acknowledged as they have both decided to retire. They have both given dedicated service in the organ loft week by week and will continue to add to the singing in the body of the Kirk! The choir had a lunch after the service on the 8th. of May to mark the occasion.
