The 330th anniversary of the Battle of Dunkeld was marked by two local residents last month.
Morag McMartin laid flowers at the memorial that stands inside the gate at the Cathedral while her neightbour Stuart Letford piped a 17th century lament.
The small gathering was organised by the Soldiers of Killecrankie, community group based in the highland Perthshire village. The group commemorates the 1689 Battle of Killiecrankie each year. This year, due to the close connections between the two battles, it was decided to mark the battle that followed on a couple of weeks after the one in Killiecrankie.
Those present observed social distancing.
Earlier, representatives of the Cameronians laid a wreath at the monument.
Fittingly, Morag has a connection with Killiecrankie, having spent many years teaching in the primary school there.
