Heading towards our ‘Big Community Conversation’
Birnam Arts, Saturday 2nd October 10.00am - 4.00pm
Twelve months after work on it began and eighteen months since PH8 Community Group was born during lockdown, we have a draft Community Action Plan needing your input and your support.
Come along to Birnam Arts on Saturday 2 October to see the key themes and issues coming out of the community survey, business survey, stakeholder conversations and community profile. Have your say on whether we’ve got it right or not, and help us prioritise by telling us which things are most important to you.
Birnam Arts will be open from 10.00-16.00, with free refreshments on hand, drop in any time to view the displays, talk to our volunteers and feedback your comments on the priorities identified for action. The displays will be set out around the main hall to allow for social distancing. Along with some stalls from other local community groups.
If you have a particular area of interest then join one of our themed discussions led by volunteers (timings can be seen below), where we can get together and talk about the each issue, debate ideas and come up with ways forward for the action plan.
Families among us, please do come along and bring the kids too – there will be a children’s area set up, with Lousie Watson from Dunkeld and Birnam Playgroup offering some crafts and face painting, plus a kids scavenger hunt in the hall and an opportunity for children of all ages to input their ideas into the action plan.
The display boards will be up for a few days after Saturday 2 October, so if you can’t attend, do come later and contribute. And if you can’t attend in person at all, you can find the Draft Community Action Plan online at http://www.dunkeldandbirnamnews.co.uk/community-council/ph8-community-matters and make comments online via the feedback link in the document and on the web page.
It’s been a fantastic hearing so many peoples’ thoughts and ideas through the survey and consultation process – now we need to make this into a realistic plan of action to facilitate the changes we all want and need. Anyone wishing to be involved in developing projects and taking actions forward, this is a great chance to start those conversations so do come along for a chat with one of our volunteers or get in touch via email or social media.
Thank you to all of you who have contributed so much by completing the Community Survey, the Business Survey and the Stakeholder Interviews. Join us on Saturday 2nd Oct at Birnam Arts for a fabulous get together and a blether and help us work together as a community to make what we want happen.
